Interrupting Harmful Behaviors: The dog intervenes if the handler exhibits self-harming or repetitive behaviors. Medication Reminders: The dog alerts the handler to take prescribed medications at scheduled times. Guiding to Safety: The dog leads the handler to a safe place during episodes of disorientation or panic. Alerting to Anxiety or Panic Attacks: The dog recognizes early signs of distress and alerts the handler. Providing Physical Contact: The dog offers grounding and comfort during emotional distress. Room Searches: The dog checks rooms for intruders or perceived threats to alleviate paranoia. Crowd Control: The dog creates a physical barrier to maintain personal space in crowded environments. Waking from Nightmares: The dog wakes the handler during night terrors or nightmares.
